NOAH Movie Review

Noah was the first super hero and is even referred to in HOLY BIBLE. He was the one who saved humanity and other species from extinction. This movie is directed by Darren Aronofsky and star cast Emma Watson, Russell Crowe, Logan Lerman, Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins, Dakota Goyo, Douglas Booth, MartonCsokas, Kevin Durand, Ray Winstone, Madison Davenport, Sami Gayle.

In this Noah leads a very miserable life and this is worsened by nightmares which really disturb him. Later this dream in interpreted as a message from God describing about the apocalyptic flood that will drown everyone and will wipe out the very existence of humans from the face of the earth. God wants him to build an arc to save the species of other animals. The movie is made in a very impressive way and visual displays are worth applauding for. The arc made is quite in match with what was actually described in the bible and the flood scene is quite realistic and powerful.

The image of Noah is very subtle with proper detailing and effects. Overall, the movie is good and is worth a watch. This story might not interest much who don’t know anything about Bible and Noah.

The story is based on Veronica Roth's novel “Divergent” which didn’t receive much of appreciation. Theme is more of action and it revolves around Tris as the main role played by “Shailene Woodley”.
Tris Prior makes a surprising choice. Then Tris and her fellow faction-members have to live through a highly competitive initiation process to live out the choice they have made. They must undergo extreme physical and intense psychological tests that transform them all. But Tris has a secret that she is Divergent, which means she doesn't fit into any one group. If anyone knew, it would mean a certain death. As she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, this secret might help her save the people she loves... or it might destroy her.

Divergent has received generally mixed reviews from critics. Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes gives the film a 41% rating based on reviews from 143 critics, with an average score of 5.5/10. The site's consensus states: "With an adherence to YA formula that undercuts its individualistic message, Divergent opens its planned trilogy in disappointingly predictable fashion”

Need for Speed (3D) movie review

Need for Speed (3D) movie review Director- Scott Waugh Starring- Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots
Need for speed is a $66 million Hollywood movie based on need for speed series of video games by Electronic Arts. The theme is set on cross country racing to avenge the death of a friend. This movie features famous American actor Aaron Paul Sturtevant of “Breaking Bad” series playing the role of Toby Marshall, a former race car driver who now earns his living by modifying and tuning performance cars along with his friends. But this doesn’t fetch him much and is on the verge of going broke. His desperate need of money lands him on accepting an offer made by a wealthy ex-NASCAr driver Dino Brewster played by British actor Dominic Cooper.
Things go out of control when Dino challenges Toby and his friend Little Pete for a race. During the race, Dino tags Little Pete’s car n Little Pete dies with Dino disappeared from the scene. Toby is framed for man slaughtering his friend and is sent to jail. Two years of spending in jail, Toby is set free on parole, but now Toby is all set take revenge from Dino for all his loss. Toby ties up with Julia Maddon played by Imogen Poots and gets hold of Shelby Mustang as his ride. In order to defeat Dino they need to reach San Francisco in two days. But this ain’t easy as Dino puts up a price for whosoever stops Toby from reaching San Francisco and entering the race. Adding more to the problem police and racers cause an interstate chase with Toby and Julia. With all the odds against Toby the story revolves around cars n races with huge power beneath their hoods and rumbling sound of engine. This movie will surely be acclaimed by Aaron Paul fans and those who craze for street racing. 132 minutes of movie could have gone better had the story been a little more grasping. It’s full of action but misses a proper story line and the plots being too predictive. Need for Speed is running in theaters worldwide but reviews received are very poor.

Summarizing the review, Need for Speed does ring a bell in every young mind and it does live upto the expectation with all the racing and cross country chases but after a while it becomes monotonous and is not able to keep its viewers engrossed. For those who are a fan of Need for Speed video game series, this movie is a must watch for you guys..

300 Rise Of An Empire Trailer & Review

Gloriously employing Zack Snyder's style of slow-fast continuous shots, as well as taking the scale and dynamics to the next level, this is a worthy sequel to the awesome 300. It has pretty much the same weaknesses and strengths of its predecessor, but improves on what made the first film a success. A pretty obvious notion is that no other film does better with the long continuous shots of action with the occasional slow motions. This is a wonderful style to marvel on, for those who like these kind of things (I do!). This is the main reason I came to watch this, yet it is not the only thing that impressed me. But before moving on, I want to further claim that I seriously enjoyed these style of shots and frankly, all...ALL of the action sequences. They are just marvellous and glorious to watch and from minute one, I was attached and just smiling on every fight sequence. Still on the matter of action sequences, they are better in visual quality & dynamics of the setting, although I suspect the reason may be the budget and resource constraint on the first film. If Snyder had this the last time, it would be as good as this. Fortunately, Rise of an Empire, even in the hands of new director Noam Murro, didn't mess it up and brilliantly improves upon it. And though the quality of visuals were not perfect (such as the blood effects), the style is just so gratifying to watch.

One last thing, the soundtrack is genuinely amazing, and is unbelievably fitting for the scenes. Even before the action begins, my heart pumps up, and during the fight itself, the soundtrack did good to enhance the suspense of the action. Words are not enough to explain it...you have to listen to it first hand. Actions aside, the plot was overall a straightforward one, except for those which relates to the original 300, which I was quite impressed of. Despite the lack of drama & humour, and the limited emotional range of the characters, some of the characters were great. I was initially skeptical of the main character, and though he may not have outdone Gerard Butler's Leonidas, Themistokles is still quite the likable action hero. And while I had a great feeling about the villain, Eva Green's Artemisia really stole the show on every scene she was in. As further praise, if the producers do intend to make another sequel, they will need one hell of villain to top off Artemisia. Overall, this is a very very entertaining movie, if what you're looking for is fun, action, and visuals. They did extremely well in these aspects, and make it such a wonderful film for a great time in the movies. VERDICT: Good: Excellent style, Improved visuals, Highly entertaining fight sequences, Brilliant soundtrack, Amazing characters Bad: Lack of drama & humour, Less compelling plot
